My name is LaTrenda Carswell. I am a self-taught hobbyist photographer based in the Syracuse, NY area. I enjoy photographing a wide range of subjects. My photographic style is high-contrast moody images, especially monochromatic. My love for photography is revealed in the images I capture. I am enthusiastic about collaborating with, and photographing local artists across genres. In particular, photographing dancers and their artistic world has emerged as a true passion of mine.

The Stand and Urban Video Project: Photography award recipient; summer 2021, and 2022. Syracuse Community Folk Art Center: Black History Month celebration final performance, winter 2024.
